Containerized Hygiene Facilities by Alaska Defense®
Formerly the Military Division of Alaska Structures, Inc., Alaska Defense® (Alaska) now produces a range of containerized hygiene facilities. Designed from the ground up, our 20’ long, 8’ wide, and 8.5’ high containers are engineered to meet rugged site conditions, endure repeated short and long-term deployments, and withstand the rigors of daily soldier use. Containerized hygiene facilities from Alaska Defense are a premium hygiene solution for providing troops with private shower and toilet facilities.
Alaska Defense provides three models of containerized hygiene facilities:
- Containerized Shower Facilities
- Containerized Latrine Facilities
- Containerized Ablution Facilities with showers and toilets
All containerized solutions are equipped with leveling jacks for deployment over uneven terrain and include removable steps for access.
Benefits of Containerized Hygiene Facilities from Alaska Defense®
Containerized hygiene facilities from Alaska Defense® are purpose-built, turnkey container solutions that enhance field operations by providing onsite hygiene facilities for personal cleanliness and safety. Benefits include:
- Ruggedized design. Containerized facilities from Alaska Defense are designed for multiple deployments and transportation methods. All containers feature forklift pockets and ISO corner blocks for stacking and top lifting.
- Plug-and-play design. A built-in electrical panel features plug-and-play connections to external power without the need for electricians.
- Energy-efficient LED lighting. Each stall is equipped with LED lighting to create a bright interior and reduce energy usage.
- Built-in HVAC system with ERV (energy recovery ventilator). In addition to providing a temperature-controlled facility for year-round use, the ERV draws in and filters fresh air and exhausts stale air. The ERV is equipped with a heat exchanger to facilitate the transfer of heat and moisture between air streams, allowing heat to be retained within the facility, especially during the cold winter months.
- Clean hot water. Built-in water pumps, a water filtration unit, and an on-demand multi-fuel water heater (kerosene, fuel oil, and diesel) with a 120-gallon fuel tank provide hot water.
- Easy to clean. Reinforced paneling is easy to clean and resistant to moisture and scratches. All shower and latrine stalls feature floor drains.
- Slip-resistant flooring. Rubberized flooring is designed to provide a non-slip surface for safety.
- Water from a municipal source or water tanks. Easily connect the containerized facilities to municipal water or external water tanks.
- Made in the U.S.A.
