On-site Engagement & Leadership Review

On September 30, 2025, Chief General Miodrag Vuksanović of the Montenegro Army visited the installation site and reviewed progress alongside the Alaska DefenseĀ® team and Montenegrin soldiers. He expressed his satisfaction with the pace of work, the quality of the installations, and the growing synergy between the Alaska DefenseĀ® advisors and Montenegrin personnel.

Following the site visit, on October 7, 2025, an exhibition event was held that brought together Montenegrin political and military leadership. The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, joined Brigadier General Vuksanović and the Alaska DefenseĀ® team for a full walk-through of key facilities: the TOC, housing/LSA blocks, dining hall, administration facility, and the UN Level 1 medical facility. The President was reported to be ā€œextremely impressedā€ with the overall setup and the professionalism of the training and installation.

Why This Purchase Matters

  • As a NATO member and EU candidate, Montenegro is enhancing its operational readiness and infrastructure resilience.
  • The modular life-support, medical, and base-camp infrastructure aligns with expeditionary, pre-positioned, or rapid-deployment scenarios — enabling the Montenegro Army to support training exercises, overseas missions, humanitarian operations, or domestic resilience efforts.
  • Alaska Defense’s turnkey model — combining equipment, installation, training, and sustainment — offered Montenegro a comprehensive solution with proven reliability.

Looking Ahead

With delivery and handover now complete, the Montenegro Army stands equipped with scalable infrastructure that can be tailored to mission-specific contingencies. Alaska DefenseĀ® remains committed to supporting the Montenegrin force with any future expansions, modifications, or sustainment requirements — ensuring a long-term partnership built on performance, responsiveness, and modular adaptability.
